lyrics

Loving can be full of misery
And though it is sublime
The things I strive for get me down
When I’m failing at the ways of life

“Let go of what you love
And love should there remain”
I’m told life is supposed to be suffering
But everytime what’s left is pain

Thrust into a universe
Where beautiful things, arranged;
Call me to their study
But study takes life and space

I’m hung up on the penalties
Of expecting from my time
How else can I find the divine

Youth is full of readiness
From being starry eyed
But the learning comes on ton by ton
And it shakes that sweet, dark night

I wanna get ready for the day I die
But I don’t want death on my mind
Still right now when I say it out loud
I can feel it giving me might

All in all this life’s a peach
And I’m thankful for my time
I seem to hold tight on to what I like
But it doesn’t always feel quite right

I know what I’m looking for
I know what I need
And that doesn’t make it any easier to see

I have to care to learn from it
Then I can’t find peace
Pulled between my heart and my mind at ease
